The Department for Education issued advice to local authorities in England on how to prepare in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal. The guidance covers:

  • Right to live and work in the UK for employees in children’s services
  • Mutual recognition of professional qualifications for social workers
  • Delivery of children’s social care
  • Looked-after children and EU Settlement Scheme
  • International child protection
  • Children seeking asylum in the UK
  • Data protection
  • Other areas of interest to local authorities and children’s services including early years entitlements, food and medicines and travel disruption
