Description

Being a foster carer plays a hugely important role for a child in care. You will be supporting them with school and medical appointments, encouraging positive activities, overcoming emotional or physical trauma, whilst providing a safe and nurturing environment they can call home.

Fostering can be difficult, not just for you and the child involved, but all families involved. Nonetheless, it’s also incredibly rewarding. You’ll be making a difference to children and young people who need your help and love.

Due to current demand for this service, we need to recruit at least 20 foster carers a year. If you have ever thought about fostering and have a spare room, come and speak to us. These sessions are hosted by the recruitment team and foster carers, providing a perfect platform for you to ask questions and get a real account of the application process and life as a foster carer.

There are various types of fostering arrangements, all of which are discussed on the day, along with things such as support, networking, eligibility criteria and children coming into care.
