Fosterline Foundation £21,000 and Counting
Since the launch of the Fosterline Foundation at the FosterTalk 10th Anniversary awards event last year the Minister Edward Timpson challenged the Fosterline Foundation to carry out fundraising activities on behalf of Fosterline. Central to the Foundation’s ambition is the long-term sustainability of the Fosterline Freephone number and website, so that it will continue to provide high quality advice, support and information to the fostering population.
The Foundation has been involved in many activities including a cake decoration competition judged by Lorraine Pascale, donations from Manchester United and Worcester County Cricket Club that have complemented our Ebay auctions.
The current total is in excess of:-
but we need to continue to raise more funding to help sustain this vital service for both prospective and current foster carers in England. Over 40,500 people have been provided with information on the role of fostering and from the results of an independent evaluation of the service by Birmingham City University over 80% agreed that without Fosterline there would be a lack of appropriate independent support for foster carers in England.
Your shopping could help raise funds to ensure some of the most vulnerable children within our society have the best possible foster care, promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people.
Did you know that whenever you buy anything online you could be raising a free donation for Fosterline Foundation?
There are nearly 3,000 retailers on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s – it doesn’t cost you a penny extra! It’s really simple, all you have to do is:

Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first, pick the retailer you want and start shopping.
After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!
Thank you Summerhill Garden Centre
A BIG THANK YOU goes to Summerhill Garden Centre (Billericay) & Children First for raising money for the Fosterline Foundation via a wishing tree placed in their Christmas department over the festive period.
Their donation is greatly appreciated by the Fosterline Foundation where every penny raised is vitally important to ensure the service remains a free source of advice and support to all foster carers and prospective foster carers in England.
The Fosterline Foundation recognises that the provision of this crucial form of independent advice remains free, and with the help of organisations such as Springhill Garden Centre and Children First their goal can be achieved.
Any individual or part of an organisation can help to sustain Fosterline. You can do this by participating in our online Ebay auctions, auction something surplus to your requirements on your own Ebay account and donate profits to Fosterline Foundation. You could organise an event yourself or just invite friends around for a coffee and donate what you would have spent in your local coffee shop, or if you would just like to donate then use our donate buttons at the bottom of this page or the home page.
We need your help to enable the Fosterline service to continue to empower foster carers to fulfil their role of foster care to some of the most vulnerable children within our society.
On average another child enters the care system every 50 minutes and the number has steadily risen since 2009 with over 70% of looked after children and young people residing in foster care.
Thank you to everyone that has been able to donate.
