Six months ago, the Government launched the Community Sponsorship scheme which enables local community groups to offer their direct support for refugees.
People in the UK have responded magnificently to the commitment to resettle 20,000 vulnerable Syrian refugees before 2020 and we are on target to meet our goal.
The Government would like to encourage more groups to sign up and support this movement.
