Timpson in Children’s Commissioner Advisory Role
Former Department for Education minister Edward Timpson has been appointed to advise children’s commissioner for England Anne Longfield. Other members of the advisory board are David Halpern, Sir Martin Narey, Alison O’Sullivan and Josh McAlister.
The voluntary part-time role, will involve advising Anne Longfield on how the powers of the children’s commissioner can be used to best promote and protect children and young people’s rights, as well as what the key issues and challenges facing children, families and the sector at large are.
