We are holding a Drop in session to discuss Fostering in Thurrock. It is really important to the children and young people in Thurrock that people like you are considering becoming a foster carer.
Foster carers come from a wide range of backgrounds – what they have in common is wanting to nurture and care for a child that needs a loving and stable home. Ultimately it is the chance for you to give a child the head-start in life that they really deserve.
Choosing to become a foster carer is a big decision for you and your family – and as much as you can change the life of a looked after child, they can change yours too! We have a specialist team who will work with you to find the right type of fostering for you and your family.
Foster carers do not work alone – you would become a part of our Thurrock Fostering Team. Foster carers are a critical part of the service we provide to our looked after children, therefore we will ensure you receive the help, guidance and support you need right from your initial enquiry and throughout your fostering career.
