The NSPCC has published information on Childline counselling sessions about gender and sexual identity over the past year. Findings include: last year there were 6,014 counselling sessions on gender and sexual identity; there has been an approximately 80% increase in views of Childline’s gender identity page; and 12- to 15-year-olds were the most common age group to contact Childline about gender or sexual identity.
