The BBC reports that an investigation carried out by the BBC File on Four radio programme found evidence that secure messaging apps, including Telegram and Discord, have been used to share images of child sexual abuse. The secure apps have a public and encrypted side, and once a group is joined, messages can be protected by peer-to-peer encryption.
