The Home Office has published a toolkit setting out the existing legislative options and tools which police and other safeguarding professionals can use to disrupt the sexual and criminal exploitation of children and young people, break the cycle of abuse and send a signal to perpetrators about the consequences of their actions. The toolkit covers six areas of law enforcement including abduction and trafficking, victim care and unusual or harmful behaviour, and also includes best practice guidance on information sharing and multi-agency working and intelligence and evidence gathering.

Further details and a link to the toolkit are provided on the Gov.uk website.
