The Children’s Commissioner for England has published a report looking at children and young people’s access to Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) in England in 2020/21, and how this has changed over the past two years. The report, which looks at figures from the national and Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) level, finds that 497,502 children were referred to children’s NHS mental health services in 2020/21, a decrease from 539,000 the previous year.
