The What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care has published two reports concerning research into safely reducing the number of children in care in the UK. A systematic scoping review investigates existing evidence across eight intervention types, identifying any gaps in research knowledge. A further report reviews the effectiveness of the Signs of Safety (SoS) framework for child protection practice in reducing the number of children entering and re-entering care.
