The Children’s Commissioner for England has published a manifesto for children calling on political parties to include a six-point plan in any upcoming election manifestos to transform the life chances for children in England.

The six pledges include: extending the Troubled Families Programme or an equivalent system of family support; a child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) counsellor in every school; adequate funding for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND); police officers and youth workers in schools; and a cabinet committee for children.
