The Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) has published a report looking at children’s rights in England in 2018.

The report draws on evidence from children’s charities and academics, and covers a range of issues including: poverty and homelessness; safeguarding children; immigration, asylum and trafficking; and health.

New data gathered for the report using Freedom of Information requests includes: 1,056 families with children were housed in council-owned bed and breakfast (B&B) and hotel style accommodation for more than six weeks in 2017 and 1,173 children were housed in independent accommodation for longer than six months in 2017.
