The Home Office has published promotional materials to be used to help raise awareness of the harmful health consequences associated with female genital mutilation (FGM) and reinforce that the practice is illegal in the UK. The campaign material signposts the NSPCC’s free 24-hour FGM helpline 0800 028 3550 which can be contacted anonymously.
