FL late night 3

Fosterline’s next information evening for current and prospective foster carers is on Wednesday 13th May 2015 7.00pm – 9.00pm and focuses on diversity.

How can foster carers fulfil standard two of National Minimum Standards: ‘Promoting a positive identity, potential and valuing diversity through individualised care?’

Call our qualified advisors if you are a foster carer needing support or advice to protect and promote the following:

  • ethnicity
  • religion
  • disability
  • or sexual orientation.

Talk to our trained advisors if you need support or advice on how to help the child in your care celebrate their own heritage or religion. Call us if:

  • you are having difficulty in helping a young person to identify their own values?
  • you are unsure of how to make your young person feel ‘at home’.
  • you are unfamiliar with your young person’s culture, language, food or how to care for their hair and skin?
  • you are thinking about fostering and would like to help children from a similar background to yourself?

Although the evening will focus on diversity, advisors can help with any topic related to fostering. Fosterline hosts a late night every second Wednesday of each month from 7pm – 9pm.
