The Department for Education is consulting on the development of a draft voluntary safeguarding code of practice for out-of-school settings (OOSS), as well as guidance for parents on key questions they may wish to consider when choosing an out-of-school setting for their child. Responses are being sought on proposals relating to: health and safety; online and digital safety; suitability of staff and volunteers; governance; finance. The deadline for responses is 24 February 2019.
