We are pleased to inform you that the National Fostering Stocktake report has now been published. The report is a comprehensive review of the fostering system in England, authored by independent reviewers Sir Martin Narey and Mark Owers.

Over the coming months, the Government will be analysing the report and its 36 recommendations in order to develop a government response, which will set out what they plan to do to improve the experiences of fostered children and of those who care for them. The aim is to publish this in spring this year. We expect the government response to the review to inform the work programme on fostering for the next few years
