Ofsted has published a report looking at what children and young people told them about their experiences of living in social care settings in England, including children’s homes, boarding schools and living with foster carers.

3,024 children and young people responded to questionnaires which found that: 79% of children and young people living in children’s homes said they were “always” well looked after, compared with 93% of children and young people living in foster care; 76% of those living in residential special schools and 56% of children and young people living in boarding schools.
