We are open and honest in all our dealings with service users and aim to offer a flexible service, responsive to the needs of partner organisations and their foster carers. We listen to, and work closely with, foster carers promoting dialogue between the foster carer and their fostering service wherever possible. We understand the system in which they are working, and can offer them relevant advice, guidance and support aimed at resolving any issues there may be through discussion and debate rather than confrontation.

On-going evaluation and monitoring of quality standards ensures that FosterTalk has a team of committed professionals, dedicated to meeting service user’s needs.

FosterTalk aims to be recognised as the centre of excellence for foster care services. We are committed to support the recruitment of foster carers and support methods to help the retention of foster carers by providing better processes, training and support to both foster carers and fostering services. We aim to provide appropriate challenge to existing mind-sets and methods to enable alternative solutions that truly improve the welfare and opportunities for our children in care.

We recognize that the fostering journey is challenging and unique for every child and carer. We understand the importance of providing a service which is independent, welcoming, trusted and knowledgeable, treating all with dignity respect and equality.
