The need for foster carers has never been more apparent than in the current climate. The numbers of children that require care has steadily risen over the past decade with over 75,000 children and young people being looked after by local authorities in England.

Just over 55,000 of these children are in foster care but many more are deserving of the opportunities a fostering home can provide.

Many of the children that require the love, security and support from a fostering environment are placed in care due to circumstances beyond their control of abuse, harm or neglect. You may be reading this because you are considering becoming a foster carer or you may already be a foster carer and if so please search our website or call an advisor for advice and support. Foster care may not be right for you but you can still support and help both our current foster carer population and ultimately the children and young people in care.
