The purpose of our ‘Hey Foster Carer’ initiative was to hear the voice of children in care and input that into how we recruit and support Warwickshire County Council foster carers. We have now gathered the feedback and created a booklet to share with you from Warwickshire children in care.
The event will celebrate our children and we will hear from some contributors as to what they want from their foster carers. We will also hear from some current foster carers about their experiences and how we can listen to children to ensure Warwickshire foster carers are the best they can be.
The event will take time to consider the process of becoming a foster carer for Warwickshire, and how organisations can get involved by becoming Fostering Friendly employers.
We will finish the event with opportunities to chat with our foster carers and fostering team and to enjoy some delicious food to round off the evening.
It may be that you are interested in fostering and want some more information, or would like to know more about how you and your organisation can become fostering friendly. We know there is lots to consider and hope you can find the time to share this special evening with us.
