Come along and meet our fabulous foster carers Lynne and Lisa on Zoom to find out everything you need to know about fostering children.
Lynne and Lisa will be on hand to answer any of your burning questions about fostering. They will also be discussing more about their fostering journey, what skills and attributes are needed to make a great foster carer, the type of support and training they receive and what made them decide to foster with Capstone.
Lynne has been fostering with her husband for many years and have looked after 93 children on respite, emergency, short term, long term and staying put placements. They transferred to Capstone from a large agency who’s values no longer fitted with theirs. She can discuss the transfer process further with any existing foster cares who may be looking to move fostering providers.
Lynne and her husband are both retired police officers and are now full time carers. They LOVE fostering and the positive differences they can make to children who are unable to live with their birth family for whatever reason.
Additionally, Lisa has been a foster carer with Capstone for three years and has four children of her own. She has a busy household with sometimes three/ four foster children living with them as well. She has lots of experience of different placements and as she is still relatively new, she can help talk about the fostering assessment process and what’s involved in lots of detail.
Both Lynne and Lisa are truly inspirational and if you have thought about fostering, this is not to be missed!
