The findings of an independent review established by the Prison Reform Trust and chaired by Lord Laming, to examine why children in care, or with experience of care, are over-represented in the criminal justice system in England and Wales have been published. The report, ‘In care, out of trouble’ also considers how the problem can be tackled, gives examples of good practice and makes recommendations for policy makers and practitioners.
